Apartment, Vila Real Branch & Chaves Group.

 

Our apartment is about 1,200 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. This is the living room & eating area.

Our apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 4 story building with 16 units.

We have started to fill our refrigerator.

We arrived in Vila Real on Friday, April 29th and went to see where the Vila Real Branch was located. Kim is preaching with E/S Daniel & Diane Erickson + Elders Spencer and Quarnberg.

The Branch is located in a building which contains retail and apartments.

On Saturday, April 30th the Branch held an activity to welcome us to their city. The activity started at 7:30PM and finished about 10:15PM. There were about 20 people that came. The following day Sunday there were 23 that attended Church.

We played Jinga.

Branch President Hugo Nascimento with his wife and daughter. He is 30 years old, from Brazil and prefers to be called President Hugo.

Chaves is a city located 45 minutes North of Vila Real and 3 miles from Spain. The smallest Eccesiastical unit is a Group. On Sunday, May 1st we held a Sacrament meeting with these 5 members of the Chaves Group. We were reminded that “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Mt. 18:20)

The Chaves Group meets in a beautiful multi-use office building.
